Short answerNot through TikTok's self-serve tools, as of 23 October 2026. Nepal is missing from both TikTok lists that matter: the countries where a business can open a TikTok ad account itself, and the markets TikTok Ads Manager delivers ads to. Nepali businesses can still post from a TikTok business account, pay creators, or put the ad money into Meta.
Your customers are on TikTok, so it’s a fair question: can you pay TikTok to put your video in front of more of them? Search “is TikTok ads available in Nepal” and you’ll find guides that explain the ad formats as if the answer were yes, and others that say it’s no.
So we went to the source. This guide checks TikTok’s own help pages, dated, for whether you can run or boost TikTok ads from Nepal, what they’d cost in rupees, whether the app is banned, and what to do with TikTok if paid ads are off the table. If you’d rather have a team plan your TikTok and Facebook posts and count what each one brings, that’s what our social media marketing agency in Nepal does.
Are TikTok ads available in Nepal?
Not through TikTok’s self-serve tools, as of 23 October 2026. Two TikTok pages decide it, and Nepal is on neither:
Who can open an ad account. TikTok’s Business Center page lists the countries where businesses can create an ad account themselves “without having to go through a TikTok representative” (updated November 2025). It names 59 countries, from Argentina to Vietnam. Nepal isn’t one of them.
Where ads can be shown. TikTok Ads Manager’s page on location targeting by market (updated June 2025) lists, for each country an ad account is registered in, the markets that account can deliver ads to. Nepal doesn’t appear anywhere on it, as a home country or as a market.
TikTok’s own note on that page is careful: if your country isn’t listed, “it’s possible TikTok is not available in that location or cannot deliver ads to that market.” Its targeting page adds that a location you can’t add may be one TikTok hasn’t “made available yet” or has “restricted”.
Here’s what that looks like for a few countries a Nepali business might sell to:
If the ad account is registered in
It can show ads in (TikTok’s list, examples)
Nepal?
United Kingdom

No
Australia

United Arab Emirates

No
So even a business with a real company abroad can’t pick Nepal as a market, going by TikTok’s list.
TikTok updates these pages from time to time (its targeting page was last updated this month), so check the two pages in the sources below before you plan around them.
Can you boost a TikTok video in Nepal?
Maybe, and only your own app can tell you. TikTok’s in-app boost is called Promote: you open the three-dot menu on a video, tap Promote (the fire icon), pick a goal, an audience, a budget and the number of days, then pay. TikTok’s support pages describe it as an advertising tool.
What TikTok doesn’t publish is a list of the countries where Promote works. We searched TikTok’s help centres and found none. Given that the Ads Manager lists leave Nepal out, we wouldn’t count on it. The quick test takes ten seconds: open the menu on one of your videos. If Promote is there and takes your payment, it works for your account. If it isn’t, it doesn’t.
Now the other thing that ranks for “TikTok boost in Nepal”: pages selling views, likes and followers. That isn’t Promote, and it isn’t allowed. TikTok’s Community Guidelines (in force since 24 September 2026) prohibit “the trade of services that artificially boost engagement”, and say TikTok removes fake likes, followers and other inflated numbers when it finds them.
Think about what you’d be buying. Views from accounts that will never visit your shop, which TikTok may delete anyway. It’s like paying people to stand outside your shop so it looks busy, except they leave the moment you look at them.
How much do TikTok ads cost?
Where TikTok ads run, the floor is more than USD 20 a day per ad group, and more than USD 50 a day per campaign. Those are TikTok’s minimum daily budgets (budget page, updated July 2026). TikTok’s own FAQ recommends a daily ad group budget of USD 20 in Asia-Pacific and USD 30 in North America and Europe.
Here’s that in rupees, at Nepal Rastra Bank’s USD selling rate on 22 October 2026 (Rs 151.44), before bank charges:
TikTok’s rule
In dollars
In rupees
Ad group, per day
more than USD 20
more than Rs 3,028.80
Campaign, per day
more than USD 50
more than Rs 7,572
Ad group for 31 days (TikTok’s own example)
at least USD 620
about Rs 93,893
Now put that next to how most Nepali businesses pay for ads abroad. An ordinary prepaid dollar card allows USD 500 a year (about Rs 75,720). At TikTok’s smallest daily ad group budget, a whole year’s limit runs out in under 25 days.
Compare that with Meta, where you set the budget yourself and can test with a few thousand rupees. Our Facebook ads cost guide works that maths through, and the dollar card guide covers the card limits and the other ways to pay.
Is TikTok banned in Nepal?
No. The government banned TikTok on 13 November 2023 and lifted the ban on 22 August 2024, after almost nine months, according to The Kathmandu Post. The cabinet’s conditions included TikTok helping to promote Nepal’s tourism and investing in digital literacy.
So the app works and your customers use it. What’s missing is the paid side, and that gap is in TikTok’s own lists, not in a government ban.
How to run TikTok ads in Nepal: the routes that exist
Here’s our opinion, plainly: for most Nepali businesses, TikTok is a place to post, not a place to pay, for now.
To be fair, the attention on TikTok is real, and plenty of businesses would happily pay for more of it. But you can’t open an ad account from Nepal through TikTok’s own tools, and since Nepal isn’t a market on TikTok’s list, an account opened in another country can’t reach it either. Ad money belongs where you can spend it in your own name and count what one customer cost.
That leaves four routes, and you can use several at once:
Post from a business account. TikTok says anyone whose main goal is to promote a business should use a Verified Business Account. You get the Business Suite (analytics and a leads manager), a website link on your profile (a general account needs 1,000 followers for that) and TikTok’s Commercial Music Library. Steps are in the next section.
Pay Nepali creators. A creator’s paid post is branded content, not an ad, so it doesn’t need an ad account. It does need TikTok’s paid-post label, and some trades can’t use it at all: TikTok bans paid creator posts for medical institutions and treatments, and for immigration services. Our influencer marketing guide covers the fees, the label and the banned list.
Put the ad budget into Meta. Facebook and Instagram ads do reach people in Nepal, you set the budget yourself, and you can judge every rupee by what one customer cost.
Sell abroad from a company abroad. If you genuinely own a registered business in one of TikTok’s listed countries (a travel agency’s UK office, say), that business can open an ad account and reach the markets on its list. TikTok asks for the legal business name “for legal and billing purposes”, so this only works for a business that’s really there.
Who should ignore our opinion? If you sell to customers abroad and already have a company in a listed country, TikTok ads may be worth testing there. Everyone else: post, work with creators, and spend the ad money where it can reach Nepal.
How to switch to a TikTok business account
TikTok’s own steps, from its support page on account types:
In the TikTok app, tap Profile at the bottom.
Tap the menu (☰) at the top, then Settings and privacy.
Tap Account.
Tap Business verification and follow the steps. TikTok says the documents it asks for vary by location, and verification can take up to 5 business days.
Two things to know before you switch:
Trending songs go away. Business accounts can’t use TikTok’s general music library, because those songs aren’t cleared for commercial use. You choose from the Commercial Music Library instead. It’s a smaller shelf, but every track on it is cleared for business use.
Don’t switch back and forth. TikTok warns that your verification isn’t saved if you switch back to a general account. If you also post personal videos, keep two accounts.
The short version
TikTok’s self-serve ads don’t cover Nepal as of 23 October 2026: Nepal is on neither of TikTok’s two ad country lists.
Promote may or may not work for your account. TikTok publishes no country list, so check the menu on your own video. Bought views break TikTok’s rules.
Where TikTok ads do run, the minimum is more than USD 20 a day per ad group, over Rs 3,000 at NRB’s 22 October rate. A USD 500 dollar card covers under 25 days of that.
TikTok itself isn’t banned: the ban ended on 22 August 2024.
Post from a business account, pay creators where your trade allows it, and put the ad budget into Meta.

Frequently asked questions
Are TikTok ads available in Nepal?
Not through TikTok's self-serve tools, as of 23 October 2026. Nepal isn't on TikTok's list of countries where businesses can open an ad account themselves, and it isn't among the markets TikTok Ads Manager lists for ad delivery. TikTok says an unlisted country may mean it can't deliver ads there.
Can we boost a TikTok video in Nepal?
TikTok's in-app boost is called Promote, and TikTok publishes no country list for it. Open the three-dot menu on one of your videos: if Promote is there and lets you pay, it works for your account. Pages selling views or likes aren't Promote, and TikTok's rules ban that trade.
Is TikTok banned in Nepal?
No. The government banned TikTok on 13 November 2023 and lifted the ban on 22 August 2024, after almost nine months, according to The Kathmandu Post. The app itself works in Nepal; it's the paid ads that TikTok's own lists leave Nepal out of.
How much do TikTok ads cost per day?
Where TikTok ads run, an ad group's daily budget must be more than USD 20 and a campaign's more than USD 50, under TikTok's budget rules. That's over Rs 3,000 a day per ad group at Nepal Rastra Bank's 22 October 2026 selling rate, before bank charges.
Are TikTok booster pages in Nepal safe to use?
No. TikTok's Community Guidelines prohibit the trade of services that artificially boost engagement, and say TikTok removes fake likes, followers and other inflated numbers it detects. You'd pay for numbers TikTok may delete, from accounts that aren't your customers.
Can a business use trending songs in TikTok videos?
Not from a Verified Business Account. TikTok gives business accounts its Commercial Music Library, which is cleared for commercial use, and keeps the general music library for personal use. Pick a sound from the commercial library instead.
Can I open a TikTok ad account with a foreign address?
Only for a business that's really registered there. TikTok asks for your legal business name to verify the business for legal and billing purposes, and may ask for documents. Even then, the account can only reach the markets listed for that country, and Nepal isn't among them.
